Hiring experience cooks for new restaurant in West Vancouver

We are seeking skilled and motivated Line Cooks to help open our new restaurant, Navvy House, in West Vancouver. Working closely with the Head Chef and Culinary Director, you will help prepare and execute a seasonal menu built on fresh seafood and quality proteins. This role is ideal for someone who wants to be part of a new restaurant from the start, with a focus on consistency, speed, and quality in a fast paced kitchen.

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.

• Set up and stock assigned station with all necessary supplies before service.

• Maintain proper food handling, storage, and rotation practices.

• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.

• Communicate clearly with the kitchen team to ensure timely, accurate ticket flow.

• Assist with inventory checks and restocking as needed.

• Keep station and equipment clean and organized throughout service.

• Support other stations as needed during busy periods.

Requirements

• Previous line cook experience in a restaurant setting.

• Strong knife skills and knowledge of basic culinary techniques.

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

• Food Safe certification, or willingness to obtain.

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
