Cost Accounting Analyst

Job Responsibility: Cost Accounting Analyst Weir Minerals Surrey, BC Onsite Purpose of Role: Responsible for generating, maintaining, and analyzing reports and data for monthly business unit reviews and business process improvements. Contribute in preparing the annual plan, budgeting, and forecasting and will be responsible for developing business unit wide analytical tools for division support. • Financial Analytics and Interpretation, as related to Manufacturing Cost Accounting
• Identify areas of operations efficiency through financial data analytics.
• Participate in management of applicable internal controls, including but not limited to inventory and expenses.
• Completing Month End reporting, including variance review and analysis.
• Analyze Material Cost and prepare cost roll up in SAP
• Supplying relevant financial data for continual analysis

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree with a focus in Account or Finance
• 3-5 years of relevant cost accounting experience
• Professional Accounting Certification preferred, but not required.
• Cost accounting and general accounting experience in a manufacturing or distribution center environment required.
• SAP Experience
