Most administrative and communication tasks will be carried out in French.However, given the business environment in Montreal, an intermediate level of English is desired for occasionally handling calls or visits from outside Quebec. The Receptionist is responsible for the following tasks:
• Welcoming and directing visitors and clients in a professional and courteous manner.
• Managing the phone system, screening incoming calls, and transferring communications.
• Receiving, sorting, and distributing mail, packages, and deliveries.
• Managing and coordinating meeting rooms, including booking and logistical preparation.
• Performing various administrative and office support tasks for the team (filing, photocopying, data entry, etc.).
• Keeping the reception area and common areas tidy and clean.
• Helping coordinate office supply inventory and placing orders.
• Handling general emails and responding to basic information requests. Qualifications
To excel in this Receptionist role:
• Mastery of French (spoken and written), essential for daily communication in Quebec.
• Intermediate level of English *(desired for occasional interactions outside Quebec).
• Mastery of Portuguese (spoken and written).
• Proven experience as a Receptionist or in a similar front-desk/administrative role.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and thoroughness.
• Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
• Autonomy and proactivity in carrying out administrative tasks. Our Client operates across Canada, and globally/internationally in the United States and other countries.
