Job title: Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics) If wiring diagrams read like a second language to you, we should talk. We're looking for a Licensed AME with a Category E ticket and 4+ years in the field to take real ownership of avionics work on our Calgary line—someone who'd rather go deep on navigation, communication, and autopilot systems than spread thin across every discipline. Straight Monday-to-Friday shifts, no rotating nights, proper test equipment on hand, and a team that treats specialized expertise like the asset it is, not an afterthought. - Diagnose and resolve faults across navigation, radar, communications, and autopilot systems
- Service, adjust, and test avionics systems to Transport Canada and manufacturer standards
- Use avionics test equipment, including air data, navigation, pneumatic, and autopilot test sets, to certify system performance
- Interpret wiring diagrams and schematics to isolate intermittent and complex electrical faults
- Document all maintenance actions clearly and ensure full regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with mechanical and structures teams to ensure smooth, on-time aircraft turnaround
- Stay ready for on-call duties and rapid-response AOG situations involving avionics system
- Bachelor's degree in Avionics, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering (considered an asset, not required)
- 4+ years of hands-on avionics maintenance experience (MRO or airline environment preferred)
- Hands-on experience on Dash 8 Q300/Q400 or CRJ200/CRJ700/CRJ900 aircraft preferred
- Transport Canada AME license required – category E (Avionics)
- Strong working knowledge of avionics test equipment, including air data, navigation, pneumatic, and autopilot systems
- Working knowledge of maintenance software such as AMOS, TRAX, or Maintenix
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
- Available Monday through Friday for straight minimum 40-hour workweeks, with flexibility for morning or afternoon shifts.
- Ability to provide 2–3 professional references
- Willing to relocate to Calgary, Alberta
- Schedule: Straight shifts (morning and afternoon), Monday to Friday
- Location: Calgary, Alberta
- Other: Permanent, full-time role
