Job Location : Various locations in the Calgary region. The employer provides transportation to work sites.
Wage:
- $22.50-$24/hour (based on skills and experience, Salary increase as per company policy)
Employment terms and conditions: Seasonal Employment, Full-time, 40 to 72 hours per week (hours are weather-dependent), Overtime, Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend

Anticipated start date : Spring 2027 (Actual start date is weather-dependent)

Job requirements :
Language: Basic English
Experience : 1 year of related experience
Worksite environment : Outdoors, Noisy, All weather conditions
Work setting : Landscape contractor, Landscape maintenance
Landscaping experience: Commercial and industrial landscape maintenance
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Gloves
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Able to work long hours (8-12 hours/day, 5-6 days/week), Attention to detail, Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads (Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)), Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Ability to distinguish between colours, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling
Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Organized, Reliability, Team player, Punctuality
Area of Specialization : Landscape maintenance, Plant knowledge and identification
Equipment : Power lawn mowers, Trimmers, Blowers, Hand tools, Skidsteer, Small engine equipment
Duties:
- Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens,
- Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides and other lawn care products,
- Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with treatment solutions,
- Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens,
- Plant and move trees,
- May perform snow removal duties as needed during snowstorms and other weather events
- Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants,
- Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees
- Remove litter and garbage
- Cut grass
- Cart and spread topsoil and other materials by hand or wheelbarrow
- Rake and collect refuse,
- Lay sod/seed/mulch
- Install mulch and other decorative rock
- Safely and effectively use push mowers, trimmers, blowers, and ride-on mowers
- Assist with hand leveling/grading loam (shoveling/raking)
- Understand and follow the Landform Safety Program
- Be equipped and able to work in all weather conditions
