Engagement Centre Representative - (Full Time)

Shane Homes YMCA at Rocky Ridge

Work Term: 8 Weeks

Salary:$15.00/hour - $18.29/hour

• This position is funded by the CSJ program. Please note succesfull candidates must be:
• Between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
• Be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act;
• Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment; and
• Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

International students are not eligible for the CSJ program.

What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?

Reporting to the Engagement Centre Manager, the Summer Lunch Progrma Administrator will provide excellent customer service to members and drop-in users of YMCA Calgary.

Be the main point of contact for incoming phone calls to the YMCA

Own the administrative tasks assigned by supervisor

Identify and create opportunities to enhance each and every person's YMCA experience

Meet and exceed customers’ expectations in all service aspects of the Engagement Centre

Complete all membership/program/transactional related duties with accuracy to all customers calling into the YMCA though the Engagement Centre.

Communicate a large quantity of information clearly and concisely in over the telephone by understanding the organizational structure and operations of the YMCA Calgary Association

Develop and maintain smooth, cooperative working relations with all staff and volunteers

Utilize communication channels to ensure real time information sharing across the association

Aid in the training of all new staff and volunteers

Work in a team environment to achieve optimal collective results

Ability to problem solve

The Summer Lunch Progrma Administrator will work within the Shane Homes YMCA location working a call centre setting. A large amount of time will be spent on the phone performing computer and administrative duties.
