Payroll Specialist - Edmonton, AB

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established Edmonton company seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team immediately. This is a temporary opportunity with potential to become a permanent position.

What You'll Be Doing

• Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 200 employees.
• Administer payroll for a predominantly hourly workforce, including overtime calculations.
• Process payroll using Ceridian Dayforce.
• Review and validate electronic time and attendance records that integrate directly into the payroll system.
• Ensure payroll is completed accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain employee payroll records and ensure confidentiality.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
• Support payroll reporting, reconciliations, and compliance with Canadian payroll legislation.

What You'll Bring

• Experience processing full-cycle Canadian payroll.
• Hands-on experience with Ceridian Dayforce (strongly preferred).
• Knowledge of Alberta payroll legislation, statutory deductions, and employment standards.
• Experience processing payroll for hourly employees, including overtime.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating with the broader team.
• PCP designation is an asset but not required.
