Job Responsibility:

About the Role:

The Senior Director of IT is a hands-on technologist that will lead global engineering, configuration, security, and support for software, cloud, and/or hardware solutions that run and grow multiple business functions. They will be responsible for creating a technology roadmap and pipeline of projects to be delivered. This leader will also be an expert in one or more business and technical domains such as sales, customer service, order processing, web services, business intelligence, server virtualization, containerization, and resiliency engineering.

The Senior Director of IT is responsible for overall pipeline management and project delivery, with primary focus on the most complex and/or critical initiatives. All leaders at this level are expected to facilitate communication flow, maintain an inclusive and positive work environment, coach and mentor co-workers, manage resources effectively, consistently deliver on commitments, proactively and effectively manage risk, and perform other management duties guided by broadly defined policies and objectives.

What You'll Do:

• Manage integrated teams to deliver strategic projects on time and within budget
• Collaborate with internal and external experts to define and maintain multi-year technology investment roadmaps that prevent technology obsolescence, efficiently support the commercial strategy, enable significant shifts in the commercial strategy, and provide flexibility to pivot as needed in the future.
• Ensure technology products in use maintain up to date security defenses and are effectively supported for dependable operations, influencing business prioritization as needed
• Champion transformative initiatives to significantly enhance profitability and/or risk management
• Effectively prioritize and resource initiatives to optimize value and risk management
• Collaborate with business leaders and SMEs to understand and contribute to commercial strategy
• Continuously update technical and industry knowledge

What We're Looking For:

• Bilingual in Mandarin/English is preferred
• 10 to 15 years of relevant work experience as a technologist.
• Master's / Postgraduate Degree with Computer Science or Related Field of Study preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree with Computer Science or Related field of study required
• Ability to conduct in-depth technical analysis and independent technology research and assessment.
• Advanced technical skillset and a demonstrated history with technology at microservice, k8s, Spring framework, UX and big data.
• Solid understanding of broad technology trends, ability to track and identify new technologies to solve complex business issues.
• Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English
• Excellent leadership and strategic thinking abilities with a problem-solving aptitude.
