Operates and maintains farm machinery and equipment including, but not limited to Front End Loaders
Ensures daily maintenance of fluid levels and cleaning of equipment
Dips wheat straw bales in recycled water and then stacks them to sit for 6-7 days to heat up and soften the straw
Puts straw through the bale break line
Ensures addition of DPW (chicken manure) and water and then puts the mixture into a Bunker
Responsible for flipping the compost every 3-4 days into another bunker, mixing and adding more water
Washing/cleaning and proper maintenance of all Wharf equipment and premises
Maintains strict hygiene at all times
Operating dump trucks to dispose of stems and spent compost
Driving wagons to move compost to filling rooms, as needed
Performs any other duties that may be assigned as required
Qualifications:
3 years of experience operating a loader is required
Loader or Heavy Equipment Operator Certificate is an asset
Must be eligible to work in Canada
Must be at least 16 years of age
Earnings:
$32.50 per hour
