THE ROLE:
The Director of IT is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional to lead our organization's technology initiatives. If you are a strategic thinker with a passion for technology and a desire to drive innovation, we encourage you to apply for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement the IT strategy and roadmap in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of IT services.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the company's data and information systems.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for hardware, software, and services.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology to drive innovation within the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a Canadian University.
- Recent experience within Canada in an IT role.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and operations.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, cloud services, and disaster recovery planning.
- Familiarity with technologies and network security protocols.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- At least five years' experience in a senior management level position including: Previous experience working in computer networking, windows server, information technology, Microsoft operating systems, and developing IT strategies and solutions for an organization
