Role: SME - Finastra Global Payments Plus

Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite – No Remote Work)

Duration: 6–12 Months Contract

1. Strong & Proven FGPP Issue/Case Analysis: Triage, Recreation, Trace Analysis, DB & GUI Usage

• Candidate must have hands-on experience performing FGPP issue triage, recreating issues, analyzing traces, and using database and GUI tools for troubleshooting.
  

2. Deep FGPP Business and Functional Knowledge

• Candidate must possess strong business and functional understanding of Finastra Global Payment Plus (FGPP).
  

3. Proven Hands-On FGPP Configuration Experience

• Candidate must have practical experience configuring profiles and rules within FGPP, not limited to solution or setup design.
  

4. Customer-Facing Experience

• Candidate must have experience leading customer-facing technical calls, providing issue explanations, status updates, and resolution plans.
  

5. Experience with FGPP (Not Only Classic GPP)

• Candidate must have worked extensively with FGPP within the last 3 years.
  

6. Onsite Requirement

• Candidate must be willing and able to work from the customer location in Toronto. This is a mandatory onsite role with no remote work option.
  

Role Overview

• Serve as the client’s technical focal point for Finastra Global Payment Plus (FGPP) production support.
  

• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex production issues.
  

• Act as the primary escalation point for advanced FGPP technical and configuration-related issues.
  

Skills Required

• Strong and proven FGPP issue/case analysis experience, including triage, recreation, trace analysis, and DB/GUI usage.
  

• Deep FGPP business and functional knowledge.
  

• Proven hands-on FGPP configuration experience, including profiles and rules setup.
  

• Customer-facing experience leading technical discussions and support calls.
  

• Recent FGPP experience (not limited to Classic GPP).
  

Escalation Handling

• Manage escalations from L2 teams for complex and advanced issues.
  

• Provide guidance and support for configuration changes required to resolve issues.
  

Issue Investigation & Troubleshooting

• Identify root causes and recreate issues for detailed analysis.
  

• Analyze traces and provide immediate workarounds where applicable.
  

• Perform complex configurations to deliver solutions.
  

• Utilize GUI, database, and trace analysis tools for troubleshooting.
  

• Understand FGPP core tables and fields, including:
  

  • Logical Fields
    

  • XPath
    

  • Object Rules
    

  • Profile_UDFs
    

  • Cache Refresh
    

Payment Processing Analysis

• Review payment processing flows and compare them with identified errors.
  

• Pinpoint processing issues and determine appropriate resolutions.
  

Trace Analysis & Configuration

• Analyze traces to identify root causes.
  

• Determine whether issues require code fixes or configuration changes.
  

• Perform complex configuration activities, including:
  

  • Pre-Rules
    

  • Post-Rules
    

  • BA Master Check-ins for Project Branches
    

• Provide setup and configuration solutions directly to customers.
  

• Escalate issues to L3 when code fixes are required.
  

• Support QA and L2 teams during testing and validation.
  

Customer Interaction

• Participate in customer calls as needed to support L2 teams.
  

• Lead technical discussions with customers.
  

• Explain issues, provide status updates, and communicate next steps.
  

Collaboration

• Work closely with L1 and L2 teams to provide consultation and technical guidance.
  

• Support Advisors and PAS Leads by joining calls and providing updates on escalated cases.
