Your main responsibilities
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries and reconciliations
- Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and completion of close activities
- Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions
- Perform detailed account reconciliations, analyses, and reasonability checks
- Support internal audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
- Provide guidance and support to team members and internal stakeholders
- Monitor accounts receivable, aging, and support collection efforts to improve cash flow
- Review and resolve outstanding balances, escalations, and foreign currency transactions
- Maintain and support ERP system configurations; assist with system updates, testing, and documentation
- Identify process improvements, contribute to special projects, and act as a point of contact for finance-related inquiries
What makes you unique
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA designation (or in progress) is considered an asset
- Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting (GL, AP, AR, payroll, and reporting)
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Experience improving processes and strengthening internal controls
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and MS Office suite
- Experience in consulting, engineering, or project-based environments is an asset
