We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our Project Management & Program Delivery team in Toronto. In this role, you will work alongside core project teams and solution delivery vendors to support the design, implementation, and testing phases of high-impact IT projects. You will be responsible for translating complex business needs into technical requirements, conducting feasibility analyses, and ensuring all deliverables align with enterprise architecture and digital service standards.

Duration: 12-month contract with potential for extension

Rate: $525.36$-$561.43/diem

Responsibilities
Requirements Elicitation & Analysis: Lead requirements development, including elicitation, elaboration, specification, and validation using JAD and Sprint session facilitation.

Solution Design Support: Conduct business and use case modeling, conceptual/logical data modeling, and process mapping for current and future states.

Strategic Planning: Perform feasibility analyses, project scoping, and provide detailed work estimates and business cases for I&IT initiatives.

Agile Delivery: Document user stories, manage product backlogs, and lead sprints to ensure iterative and timely delivery of software products.

Testing & Quality Assurance: Review technical design documents, define integration and user acceptance test plans, and manage defect logs.

Governance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture (e.g., Zachman framework), AODA standards, and official digital service assessment processes.

Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with business areas, I&IT clusters, and third-party vendors to resolve issues, manage risks, and coordinate project interdependencies.

Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years of experience in business analysis, specifically within large integrated mainframe and mid-tier environments.

Methodologies: Extensive knowledge of the SDLC, including structured Waterfall, Agile, and iterative methodologies.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with requirement management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, HP ALM (Quality Center), and PowerDesigner.

Modeling Expertise: Demonstrable experience with Business Object Oriented Modeling and UML tools and techniques.

Legacy Transformation: Experience supporting legacy application transformation and implementing COTS solutions (e.g., Oracle Siebel).

Communication: Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholder groups.

Public Sector: Prior experience within the public sector, specifically navigating Architecture Governance Points and Digital Service standards, is highly preferred.
