Description: PSY210H5 S - Introduction to Developmental Psychology
How do children learn to interact with the world around them; to communicate, solve problems, establish moral principles, form meaningful relationships, and develop a sense of self? In this course, you will take an interdisciplinary approach to understanding how a child’s mind and brain develop through exploration of cognitive, biological, social, and cultural factors. At the end of this course, you will have developed an understanding of the theoretical, experimental, ethical, and psychological foundations of developmental psychology.
Prerequisites : PSY100Y5
Exclusions : PSY210H1 or PSYB20H3 or PSYB21H3

Class schedule: In-person on Thursday from 15:00 to 18:00 (See ttb.utoronto.ca )Sessional dates of appointment: January 1, 2027 - April 30, 2027

$9,997.48 for Sessional Lecturer I

$11,228.90 for Sessional Lecturer III - Long Term

Qualifications : The candidate must have a Ph.D degree or be in the final stages of a PhD. The decision on hiring
will be based on previous teaching experience in this course or other similar courses, academic qualifications and
suitability for the position.

grading and marking student work; submission of final grades to appropriate University officials in accordance
with policy; the maintenance of reasonable hours for student contact outside of scheduled contact hours.
