Data Engineering Role: Focus on Azure Technologies (Halifax Regional Municipality)

Join a dynamic team as a Senior Data Engineer with a focus on Azure data technologies. This role offers a hybrid model with three required on-site days each week.
As a Senior Data Engineer, youll leverage your expertise in Databricks to drive advanced data workflows. This full-time position involves collaborating on data integration with Solution Engineers and maintaining analytics models. Your strong background in Azure will support the optimization of data ingestion and transformation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate on data integration solutions with Solution Engineers
- Support data ingestion and transformation processes
- Maintain data integration frameworks and analytics models
- Optimize Databricks performance and monitor pipelines
- Partner with business stakeholders for effective solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- At least five years of experience in data engineering
- Robust expertise in Azure, ADF and Synapse
- Hands‑on experience with Spark and SQL
- Familiarity with CI/CD and IaC tools
Utilize your Databricks knowledge to contribute to transformative data projects.
