Lead AWS Node.js Developer Halifax

Join NTT DATA as a Lead Developer specializing in AWS and Node.js in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Drive backend architecture, mentor engineers, and shape high-performance cloud services. This role requires a seasoned AWS Node.js Technical Lead with 7–10 years of experience in enterprise software engineering. You'll spend 75% of your time developing scalable backend microservices and 25% mentoring teams and reviewing code. Emphasis is placed on asynchronous Node.js development and hands-on leadership in serverless AWS environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and maintain cloud-native microservices
- Define API contracts and integration standards
- Mentor engineering teams for high-quality code
- Develop low-latency Lambda functions
- Implement infrastructure-as-code solutions
- 7–10 years of software engineering experience
- 2+ years in a leadership capacity
- Advanced Node.js and asynchronous programming skills
- Core AWS service mastery including Lambda
- Experience with NoSQL and relational databases
