Project Buyer IV for Electrical Equipment

Drive successful procurement strategies as a Project Buyer IV, specializing in complex electrical equipment for a major capital expansion. This hybrid role offers the chance to make a significant impact in Calgary or Edmonton. In this essential Senior Buyer role, you'll oversee procurement for high-value electrical projects over 12 months. Your expertise is crucial for developing sourcing strategies while collaborating closely with SCM Business Partners and Project teams. You will manage requests for proposals, foster supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with governance standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Source complex electrical equipment for capital projects
- Collaborate with SCM and Project team members
- Lead RFX processes and contract negotiations
- Report and forecast procurement activities
- Develop risk mitigation plans and strategies
- University degree in Business or Supply Chain Management
- Minimum seven years of procurement experience
- Proven track record in large energy project sourcing
- Strong negotiation skills and supplier management
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Oracle R12
