Sales Consultant

Our client is a well-established agricultural solutions provider with a long-standing reputation for delivering innovative equipment, operational expertise, and trusted service to livestock producers across Ontario. They are a trusted partner, focused on improving herd health, barn efficiency, and long-term farm performance through practical, customized solutions. As the business continues to strengthen and expand its market presence, they are seeking a driven sales professional to support business growth across Western Ontario. Backed by a dedicated team and a customer-first approach, this sales role will support the evolving needs of Ontario’s agricultural sector. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will:

• Develop new sales opportunities and build strategic customer relationships across Western Ontario.
• Conduct proactive prospecting and networking to generate leads and expand regional market share.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through consultation, design collaboration, proposal development, and closing.
• Partner with livestock producers to identify operational needs and recommend capital equipment solutions that enhance barn design, animal flow, ventilation, and production efficiency.
• Support the senior leadership team to develop budgeting and strategic sales planning initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction, while tracking customer interactions, sales pipeline activity, forecasting, and reporting requirements.
• Maintain and grow relationships with livestock producers, industry influencers and strategic partners.
• Support new product launches and promotional initiatives within the territory and represent the organization at farm shows, producer meetings, open houses and industry events.

Your background includes:

• Post-secondary education in agriculture, business, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise sales, account management, or livestock industry services.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario’s agriculture industry with an established producer network.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust-based customer relationships and manage long sales cycles.
• Experience supporting consultative sales processes involving operational design and technical products.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills paired with strong business, financial, and problem-solving acumen.
• High degree of self-motivation, accountability, and organizational capability.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM or ERP systems.

This role will include some travel, approximately 40-50% of the time, to meet with clients, attend meetings, and support relationship-building across Ontario.
