Estimator, Construction Kusiar Project Services Inc. Location Stratford, ON Salary 38.00 to 39.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 35 to 40 hours per week Full time To be determined Starts as soon as possible Languages English Education College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years Experience 2 years to less than 3 years Work must be completed at the physical Location. There is no option to work remotely. Work setting Estimating Quantity surveying Responsibilities: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements Prepare master format estimates (Class A) Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects Project cash flow and financing requirements Analyze tenders and recommend awards Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems Monitor and adjust contract expenditures Prepare and maintain directory of supplies and trade contractors Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates Experience and specialization Computer and technology knowledge Spreadsheet MS Excel Type of experience Civil Structural engineering Project size estimating experience 500,001 to 1,500,000 Area of work experience Purchasing, procurement and contracts Project coordination Additional information Security and safety Basic security clearance Transportation/travel information Willing to travel Valid driver's licence Work conditions and physical capabilities Work under pressure Tight deadlines Attention to detail Sound discrimination Combination of sitting, standing, walking Own tools/equipment Hard hat Steel-toed safety boots Personal suitability Client focus Excellent oral communication Excellent written communication Flexibility Organized Team player Until: 2026-04-13
