Tasks
- Calculate insurance claims
- Review and examine insurance claims
- Examine adjusters' reports, insurance claims and precedents to determine extent of insurance coverage
- Ensure settlements are made according to company practices and procedures
- Consult lawyers, doctors or other individuals to discuss insurance claims
- Approve insurance claims
- Consult with claimants, accident witnesses, doctors and others
- Determine amount of loss or damages covered by insurance policies
- Determine validity of claims
- Examine records and reports to determine insurance coverage
- Investigate circumstances surrounding insurance claims
- Prepare adjustment reports
