We are a dynamic tax & accounting firm seeking a highly motivated, capable and experienced individual to join our team as an Accounting Staff II. Our firm specializes in providing comprehensive financial corporate solutions to a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth clients, family offices, and other successful owner-managers. What We're Looking For:
As an Accounting Staff, you will play a pivotal role in managing our client relationships and ensuring the seamless execution of financial operations. You will be responsible for:
- Compliance: Preparing and filing of various tax returns (including GST / HST / PST returns, T2 corporate tax returns, T1 personal income tax returns, T2125, payroll-related filings, financial statements and compilation engagement reports).
- Bookkeeping: Perform monthly reports, data entry, bank reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll.
- Task Management : Successful management and coordination of different tasks attached to various clients. Understanding dependencies, adjusting and pivoting as needed.
- Quality Assurance : While working on compliance and bookkeeping tasks, ensure the quality and standard of work is maintained from end-to-end.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience :
- Candidates with 2 to 4 years of experience in public practice or industry.
- Experience with bookkeeping, AR, AP necessary; full-cycle accounting preferred
- Proficient in accounting software, such as Xero, Quickbooks, Quickbooks Online
- Strong computer skills with experience in MS Office Suite and Google Documents
- Independence : Comfortable working independently in an entrepreneurial environment but also highly reliable and supportive of the team.
- Communication Skills : Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with our clients and proactively with the team.
