Responsibilities

• Assist licensed AMEs with routine and scheduled maintenance on airframes, engines, and components
• Support basic avionics tasks such as wiring checks and system testing under direct supervision
• Help with inspections, minor repairs, and removal/installation of parts
• Complete accurate work cards, logs, and documentation as instructed
• Follow all safety protocols, shop procedures, and Transport Canada standards
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safety-compliant
• Ask questions, take feedback, and build toward independent sign-off tasks
• Communicate progress and any issues clearly with your supervising AME

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in, recently completed, or planning to start an approved Aviation Maintenance Technology diploma program (or equivalent)
• 3+ years of hands-on mechanical, automotive, or aviation experience (shop, garage, or classroom experience counts)
• No license required — this role is a stepping stone toward Transport Canada AME certification
• Strong mechanical aptitude and genuine interest in aircraft systems
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow into more advanced tasks over time
• Comfortable using basic hand tools; exposure to avionics or electrical systems is a plus but not required
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain airside clearance
• Ability to provide 2–3 references
• Willing to relocate to Calgary, Alberta
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and a strong team player

Employment Details

• Schedule: Straight shifts (morning and afternoon), Monday to Friday
• Location: Calgary, Alberta
• Other: Permanent, full-time role with structured advancement toward licensed status
