GardaWorld is hosting a Job Fair in Hamilton on August 10th, 2026 to recruit qualified candidates for security positions at a specific site in the Hamilton area. We are looking to meet motivated individuals interested in building a career in the security industry.

Responsibilities for a Security Guard
- Conduct patrols in various settings to ensure safety and security.
- Monitor and deter suspicious activity, unauthorized access, and criminal behavior.
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents and emergencies.
- Maintain accountability for company and client property, including keys, phones, and equipment.
- Complete accurate and detailed occurrence reports and daily activity logs.
- Patrol critical areas and identify potential security risks.
- Verify identification and control access to restricted or secure locations.
- Respond to alarms and conduct on-site investigations.
- Monitor the proper operation of security systems, alarms, and surveillance cameras.
- Work collaboratively with law enforcement and emergency services during serious incidents.
- Engage in community outreach and interact professionally with vulnerable populations.
- Enforce the Trespass to Property Act and address unauthorized individuals on site.
- Demonstrate strong observation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Qualifications for a Security Guard
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Hold a valid security license
- First aid certification
- Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
- Able to pass an Advanced Use of Force Training Course
- Knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Powers of Arrest
