Position Description
At CGI, we are building modern, user-focused digital solutions that help people access essential services with confidence and ease. We are looking for a Senior Flutter Mobile Developer to join our Vancouver-based team and play a key role in the design, development, and delivery of a high-impact mobile application.

As an owner at CGI, you will work side-by-side with clients, product teams, designers, architects, and developers to turn meaningful insights into action. This is a hands-on senior role for someone who is strong in Flutter and Dart, comfortable contributing across the mobile application lifecycle, and able to provide technical leadership to a small development team.

You will help shape the mobile architecture, guide development practices, mentor less experienced team members, and ensure the application is reliable, secure, scalable, accessible, and easy to use.

Your future duties and responsibilities
. Lead the development of a modern cross-platform mobile application using Flutter and Dart
. Design and implement scalable, reusable, and maintainable mobile application components
. Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship to junior and intermediate developers
. Collaborate with product owners, UX/UI designers, business analysts, QA, DevOps, and backend teams
. Translate business and user requirements into high-quality technical solutions
. Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs, cloud services, identity platforms, and enterprise backend systems
. Apply mobile architecture patterns such as Clean Architecture, MVVM, BLoC, Provider, Riverpod, or similar state management approaches
. Support secure authentication, authorization, session management, and data protection practices
. Contribute to automated testing strategies, including unit, widget, integration, and end-to-end testing
. Support CI/CD pipelines for mobile builds, automated testing, and deployment to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
. Optimize application performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and reliability across iOS and Android devices
. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and support production readiness activities
. Stay current with modern mobile development trends and recommend practical improvements to the solution

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
. Strong professional experience building production mobile applications with Flutter and Dart
. Demonstrated experience delivering mobile applications for both iOS and Android
. Strong understanding of mobile application architecture, design patterns, state management, and application lifecycle
. Experience integrating mobile applications with REST APIs, JSON, authentication services, and backend platforms
. Working knowledge of React, React Native, or modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks to support integration with broader digital platforms
. Experience with Git-based development, branching strategies, pull requests, and code review practices
. Experience with automated testing and mobile quality practices
. Experience with CI/CD tools and mobile deployment processes
. Familiarity with native iOS or Android development using Swift, Kotlin, SwiftUI, or Jetpack Compose
. Understanding of mobile security, privacy, accessibility, and performance best practices
. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment
. Ability to be based in or near Vancouver and work in a hybrid model as required
. Experience working on applications in regulated, high-availability, utility, public sector, financial, or enterprise environments is preferred

Desired Qualifications

Practical project experience with:

. Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
. Firebase, push notifications, analytics, crash reporting, or remote configuration
. App Store Connect and Google Play Console
. Design systems and component libraries
. Working in Agile delivery teams using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar
. Accessibility standards such as WCAG and mobile accessibility testing

Education and Certifications

. Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
. Relevant certifications in mobile development, cloud platforms, Agile delivery, or secure software development are considered assets

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000 to $140,000.
