DataSphere Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Datasphere Developer to play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-wide data solutions within our clients SAP Datasphere. This position is ideal for an experienced data professional with a strong background in SAP data architecture, analytics, and enterprise reporting who is passionate about transforming complex business requirements into scalable and high-performing data solutions. Working closely with business stakeholders, data architects, analysts, and cross-functional teams, this role will support strategic decision-making by delivering governed, reliable, and innovative reporting and analytical capabilities that enable self-service insights across the organization. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain analytical models, fact tables, dimension tables, and semantic layers within SAP Datasphere to support enterprise reporting and analytics initiatives.
• Build and manage end-to-end data pipelines including data ingestion, transformation, cleansing, and orchestration across SAP and non-SAP environments.
• Participate in ERP implementation initiatives and ongoing reporting enhancements, translating business and analytical requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Ensure adherence to data governance, metadata management, security, and data quality standards while maintaining robust and compliant data environments.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to define reporting requirements and deliver high-performance analytical solutions that support business objectives.
• Perform testing activities including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT), while creating and maintaining technical documentation and mentoring junior team members where required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP data warehousing, data engineering, analytics, or SAP BW environments, including at least 2 years of hands-on SAP Datasphere experience.
• Strong expertise in SAP Datasphere modeling components including Data Builder, relational datasets, views, transformation flows, analytical models, and semantic modeling.
• Demonstrated experience integrating SAP Datasphere with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Ariba, SuccessFactors, and external systems using technologies such as SDI/SDQ, OData, JDBC/ODBC, DP Agent, and remote tables.
• Advanced SQL development skills with proven experience writing, optimizing, troubleshooting, and debugging SQL within SAP Datasphere and SAP HANA Cloud environments.
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities with experience facilitating technical discussions, collaborating across teams, and mentoring junior developers; SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) reporting experience is considered an asset.

Pay: $80-100 per/hour based on a 12 month contract

Hybrid on site requirements, anyone outside commuting distance to Vancouver, BC will not be considered at this time.
