Nanny Wanted - Part Time Family Assistant / Household Coordinator, Minimal Childcare.

We are a professional family living in Victoria, British Columbia, with two school-aged boys. We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Family Assistant to help manage the practical details of our household. This is primarily a household coordination position, not a traditional nanny role. We already have regular childcare, cleaning and meal support. The successful candidate will take ownership of household tasks and provide occasional backup childcare when needed. The position is approximately 15 guaranteed hours per week, ideally spread across Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with some scheduling flexibility. Responsibilities may include:

• Managing household schedules, recurring tasks and family logistics
• Coordinating our nanny, cleaner, chef and other service providers
• Grocery shopping, meal inventory and household restocking
• Children’s activity registration, equipment and school-related organization
• Errands, returns, dry cleaning and gift purchasing
• Arranging repairs, appointments and household maintenance
• Travel preparation, packing assistance and home organization
• Light tidying and laundry, but not regular deep cleaning
• Occasional backup childcare for our two boys

The ideal candidate is discreet, reliable, warm and capable of working independently without daily direction. Previous experience as a family assistant, household manager, executive assistant or private-service professional is preferred. A valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, strong references and willingness to complete a background check are required. Compensation is $30 to $40 per hour, depending on experience.
