Hello! My name is Sophia, and I am a mother of two children who will be relocating to beautiful Victoria, British Columbia, in spring/summer 2026. I am looking for a patient, caring, experienced and responsible nanny to join our household. My two children will be three and four years old in summer 2026, and we also have a very sweet female Bernese mountain dog (1 year old in summer 2026). I am a single mother, and due to my own schooling and the nature of my work, we need someone who can provide part-time, on call, live out care, which will include day/evening/night care. The role will involve some light housekeeping duties related to the children to help keep our home tidy and organized. CPR certification is a must, as the safety and well-being of my children are my top priority, and an ECE certificate would be ideal. In our home we generally follow a Waldorf style of learning and play, with a bit of montessori sprinkled in. We focus on positive discipline, connection based, non-controlling (no shame, fear or punishments), encouraging the children's freedom of expression, and acknowledging all feelings and discussing them to understand, allowing them to feel seen, heard, and valued for who they are as individuals. Ideally I am looking for someone with experience in a Waldorf setting and someone who has experience supporting deeply emotional children. I am offering a competitive pay rate of $25 per hour which is flexible to the right candidate who demonstrates skills and experience in childcare.
