Construction Accounting Coordinator

Construction accounting expertise supports invoices, payments, and project financial administration at Prodigy Group. Work closely with Project Teams and Finance on organized, accurate records.

As an Accounting Coordinator, you will support daily accounting across Prodigy Group’s construction portfolio. Your work includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, billing packages, payment processing, and documentation. You will serve as a reliable contact for Project Teams, Finance, vendors, trades, and clients while keeping transactions on track.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process invoices, receipts, payments, weekly cheque runs, and EFTs
• Monitor accounts payable inquiries and resolve vendor questions promptly
• Reconcile vendor accounts, statements, contracts, and change orders
• Prepare client progress billing packages and monthly accounts receivable statements
• Process employee expense claims accurately through Dayforce payroll processing

Requirements:

• Minimum three years of relevant experience
• Required construction industry experience
• Highly proficient Microsoft Office and Excel skills
• Knowledge of ERP systems; Jonas Premier is an asset
• Knowledge of accounting principles and audit trails
