Events and Meetings Coordinator

Coordinate client events and room bookings at Central YMCA in Toronto, using scheduling, customer service, and audio-visual support skills onsite.

This part-time contract position supports internal and external clients through planning, scheduling, and hands-on event execution. You will manage bookings, provide space information, prepare rooms, and support smooth operations. The role also contributes to revenue generation and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage bookings from confirmation through deposit collection
• Coordinate room rental schedules and organized space usage
• Provide tours, pricing details, and resource information
• Prepare rooms with tables, chairs, and equipment
• Assist audio-visual and remote meeting setups

Requirements:

• Two to three years’ event coordination or related experience
• Organizational and relationship-building skills
• Working knowledge of audio-visual equipment preferred
• Flexibility for days, evenings, and weekends
• Ability to lift and move items up to 44 pounds
