What you'll do:

Reporting into the Team Lead, Events, this role is responsible for driving the clients' vision forward by way of full cycle planning and execution of in-person, hybrid, and virtual events. This work includes; consulting, event design, strategy planning, venue selection, destination management, budget, registration, program and speaker management, event marketing, communications, sponsor and exhibitor management, and supplier and logistics coordination.

How you'll do it:

Relationship Building

• Nurture and build relationships with vendors, venues, volunteers, clients, sponsors, and stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision, goals, and expectations for the event.
• Ensure alignment with Redstone clients on communication channels and the preferred method and cadence for updates via meetings, emails, or reports; attending board and committee meetings and taking minutes where necessary.
• Work collaboratively and effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure that the event is well executed and coordinated in a way that delivers on the clients' vision.

Event Execution

• Plan, execute, attend, and deliver on events including the development of critical path, run of show, site preparation, catering, registration, entertainment, transportation, décor, and marketing materials.
• Successfully attain, manage, monitor and execute event sponsorship, ensuring that sponsor needs and client needs are met.
• Take a proactive and innovative approach to delivering engaging and modern events.
• Consider potential risks to the successful execution of the event; proactively develop contingency plans when required.
• With support of the Team Lead, successfully negotiate and execute on contract renewals including event pricing and budget.

Marketing and Finance

• Own the financial process including negotiating supplier pricing, advocacy for both the client and Redstone, delivering within budget, setting realistic financial expectations with the client, understanding the billing process and reporting on event outcomes.
• Work closely with the client to understand target market demographic for events. Innovatively market events in a way that attracts and engages attendees; including working closely with marketing where necessary.

You'll thrive in this role if:

• You have a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, Communications, Not-for-Profit Management, or a related field.
• You have 3-5+ years of relevant, full-scope event planning experience which includes planning, executing, and delivering on complex, large scale, high attendee conferences and events.

Serious bonus points if:

• You have experience working with not-for-profits, association management companies, or agencies.
• You are a Digital Event Strategist (DES), Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), or have a similar event designation.
• You are bilingual in French.

Compensation:

$73,000 - $85,719.62 base salary based on experience.
