Your Role: At the Heart of the Chain
Core Duties
- Safely guide and monitor vans within the station premises (inside and outside warehouse).
- Ensure compliance with traffic and safety protocols (e.g., speed limits, pedestrian zones).
- Park vans in designated warehouse areas after check-in.
- Assist operations teams during driver check-in and check-out processes.
- Verify documentation (e.g., delivery sheets, van conditions) as required.
- Support van audits (e.g., inspecting loaded/unloaded parcels for discrepancies).
- Help locate missing/misplaced packages in vans or staging areas.
- Prioritize tasks based on operational demands (e.g., focus on van flow bottlenecks).
- Report safety hazards, van damage, or unresolved package issues to supervisors.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff and drivers to streamline operations.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety protocols and maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Enforce safe working methods and behaviors within the team.
- Conduct safety audits and warehouse checks.
- Respond to emergencies as required.
- Unload trailers if needed.
- Support the supervision of sorting packages
- General housekeeping, cleaning
- Other duties as assigned
