Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Threat Intelligence Analystto join the Fusion Threat Intelligence Team. In this position, you will contribute to identifying and mitigating evolving cyber threats that could affect the organization’s assets, operations, and clients. You will leverage your analytical skills to monitor threat landscapes, analyze data, and support incident response efforts to help maintain a robust security posture.

Pay rate range (CAD): $50.72/hr – $60.87/hr

Responsibilities

• Monitor global threat environments for malicious social media content, exploited vulnerabilities, malware, and compromised third parties.
• Analyze threat actors, attack techniques, and indicators of compromise impacting the financial sector.
• Produce timely, actionable intelligence reports and briefings for internal stakeholders and management.
• Support incident response by providing threat assessments and strategic insights.
• Develop and maintain threat intelligence processes and tools to enhance detection and analysis capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to share intelligence and best practices.
• Support special projects related to threat monitoring or security awareness.
• Maintain regulatory compliance related to threat intelligence activities.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of security protocols and threat detection methodologies.

Desired Skill-Set

• 1-2 years of experience in threat intelligence or cybersecurity environment.
• Knowledge of common security threats and attack techniques.
• Experience with external threat monitoring and intelligence analysis.
• Familiarity with cyber threat actors and recent attack vectors.
• Ability to analyze and interpret security data and generate concise reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and industry standards.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in the financial services sector.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Sec+ or CISM.
• Familiarity with advanced threat detection tools and analytics platforms.
• Awareness of regulatory requirements relevant to financial institutions.
• Skills in developing threat intelligence strategies and operational processes.
• Passion for threat hunting and thinking like an attacker.
