Senior Load Settlement Analyst
Alberta Utilities Commission
Shape Alberta’s load settlement rules as a highly experienced analyst with expertise in regulated electricity markets and tariff billing codes. This is a permanent, full-time position.The Alberta Utilities Commission seeks a senior subject matter expert for its Audit, Compliance and Enforcement division. You will administer load settlement and tariff billing code rules, guide amendments, and support wholesale market design changes. The work includes shorter settlement intervals, system enhancements, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities:
Administer load settlement and tariff billing code rulesLead consultations and provide technical guidanceImprove settlement processes and data management practicesAssess discrepancies, anomalies, and operational issuesResolve inquiries with market participants and service providersRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline10 years of progressively responsible related experienceExperience administering regulated load settlement processesUnderstanding of VLTrader and alternative settlement softwareAdvanced analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsApply load settlement, market operations, and stakeholder communication expertise to support evidence-based utility regulation at the AUC.
