Take on an impactful role as a Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic with Nuna Group of Companies, specializing in large earthworks and mining projects. Manage equipment maintenance in a fly-in, fly-out work model that offers competitive hourly rates and structured rotations. Nuna is seeking a skilled Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic with at least two years of experience in the mining and earthworks sector. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain essential heavy mobile equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety in compliance with client contracts. Mentoring apprentices and maintaining thorough documentation are also key aspects of your role. Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and repair heavy mobile equipment effectively
• Mentor apprentices and support ongoing training
• Attend weekly safety meetings for a safe work environment
• Prioritize and schedule repairs with operations teams
• Document equipment performance and maintain accurate reports Requirements:
• Post Secondary education in Heavy Duty Equipment Technician
• Minimum 2 years experience in mining or earthworks
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong diagnostics in hydraulics and electrical systems
