Alamos Gold is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for its Island Gold Mine in northern Ontario. This role focuses on robust machinery repairs, ensuring reliable underground operations. Become part of Alamos Gold's team as a certified journeyperson with 4-5 years of experience in heavy equipment repair. Your expertise will contribute to the efficiency and performance of our mining operations. You'll be responsible for maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diverse mobile equipment within a safety-oriented environment at our high-quality underground mine. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance on heavy trucks and service vehicles
• Diagnose faults using computerized testing equipment
• Adjust and replace defective parts in machinery
• Clean and lubricate mining equipment regularly
• Create work-orders and manage parts inventory Requirements:
• Completion of OSSD or GED
• Certification as a journeyperson mechanic
• 4-5 years of heavy equipment repair experience
• Own mechanic tools for on-site work
