Lead venture capital investments at BDC’s Thrive Venture Fund, using financial analysis and due diligence within a hybrid work model. Support women-led technology companies across Canada.As a Principal, you will source opportunities, lead complex diligence, and oversee investment and portfolio management. The $300M fund invests in late seed to Series B companies with scalable potential. You will represent BDC Capital, support Partners, and coach investment professionals.Key Responsibilities:
Source and assess high-potential venture companiesLead complex market and financial due diligencePrepare Investment Memos for committee presentationsManage portfolio relationships and board participationCoach Analysts, Associates, and Associate PrincipalsRequirements:
Seven to ten years of structured, analytical experienceExperience in venture capital, private equity, banking, or advisoryBachelor’s degree in commerce, economics, or STEMStrong Excel financial modeling and data analysis skillsUnderstanding of sourcing, diligence, and portfolio managementBring investment judgment, structured thinking, and portfolio expertise to BDC’s Thrive Venture Fund and Canadian entrepreneurship ecosystem.
