Social Media Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION 

As a Social Media Specialist at 1Milk2Sugars, you will be the driving force behind the planning, organization, and execution of engaging social content across client accounts. This role is centred on content calendar management, creative coordination, and performance optimization ensuring every post aligns with brand strategy and delivers impact.

You’ll work closely with internal teams to bring campaigns to life, translating strategy into structured, high-performing social content. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment, loves balancing creativity with organization, and has a strong understanding of social media trends, formats, and platform best practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the development and maintenance of social media content calendars across assigned accounts


• Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, tone of voice, and campaign objectives


• Coordinate timelines, approvals, and asset delivery to ensure seamless execution


• Oversee and execute copywriting, caption development, hashtag strategy, and publishing schedules

• Translate high-level strategies into structured, actionable content plans


• Develop creative briefs for shoots, influencer content, and UGC


• Collaborate with internal teams (content, influencer, PR, paid) to ensure cohesive execution across channels


• Stay ahead of social trends, platform updates, and emerging formats to keep content fresh and relevant

• Monitor content performance using social analytics tools


• Track KPIs and identify opportunities for growth and optimization


• Translate performance data into actionable insights to refine future content calendars


• Support monthly reporting with content-specific learnings and recommendations

• Work closely with Coordinators, Designers, and Content Creators to ensure timely and high-quality asset delivery


• Provide feedback on creative to maintain brand consistency and performance standards


• Contribute to internal brainstorms and creative ideation sessions

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Communications, Marketing, or a related field


• 4–5 years of experience in digital marketing, social media, or agency account management


• Strong understanding of social-first content strategy and influencer integration


• Proficient in Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn content best practices


• Experience with project management tools and social analytics platforms (e.g. Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, Google Analytics)


• Exceptional communication, organization, and presentation skills


• Fluent in English (French is a strong asset)


• Detail-oriented and deadline-driven with a passion for storytelling and digital culture
