Agueci Calabretta, colloquially known as AC Law, is a boutique law firm focused on debtor/creditor law with an emphasis on mortgage enforcement and real estate transactions for financial institutions. Working with lawyers and law clerks, our team is well equipped to address any real estate matters, from simple closings of purchases, sales, mortgages, and refinances, to acting on behalf of institutional mortgage and private lenders.

What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for an experienced Mortgage Enforcement Law Clerk, for a full-time, permanent position, to join our dynamic and growing firm in servicing our financial institution clients. The successful candidate should have strong knowledge of the mortgage enforcement power of sale process.
The ideal candidate must possess excellent organizational talent along with the ability to multi-task and prioritize. This is a good position for someone who is detailed oriented, a self-starter with excellent technical skills and has the ability to work both within a team and independent environment. The successful candidate must also have a solid working knowledge of the power of sale process and experience working with DRN/Techchom/FCT/ Litigation/Collection Highway. A great attitude and emphasis on client experience are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain carriage of power of sale files from beginning to end
- Preparation of demand letters, default judgment, motion records and writs of possession, discharge statements, and other related documents
- Ensure that client is updated via DRN, Techom and/or Litigation/Collection Highway in a timely manner
- Communicate with debtors regarding resolutions, as required
- Preparing and sending document requests to client as required
- Review title searches
- Review file and escalate concerns to lawyer
- Produce the highest quality of work
- Accountable for all work assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years previous experience as a Mortgage Enforcement Law Clerk
- Strong knowledge of the power of sale process in Ontario
· The ability to effectively balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Successful completion of a related post-secondary education program in a law clerk program
