You'll love your position as a Junior Accountant:
- Process accounts payable including coding, posting, payment preparation, reconciliations, and vendor inquiries.
- Process accounts receivable including invoicing, collections, cash applications, and account reconciliations.
- Receipt vehicle sale down payments and post transactions within our Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Balance and maintain daily cash flow for sales, service, and parts.
- Scan, organize, and post service repair orders (ROs) and accounting documents.
- Prepare and reconcile assigned balance sheet schedules.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations across multiple companies.
- Prepare lien payout payments and complete bank runs as required.
- Maintain customer and vendor records while providing exceptional customer service.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Organize, scan, and file financial documents.
- Assist with annual audits, special projects, SOP development, and AI-assisted process improvements.
- Other accounting responsibilities as assigned.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related program.
- Previous accounting experience is considered an asset.
- Previous dealership accounting and PBS (or other DMS) experience is an asset.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Comfortable using technology and interested in AI tools to improve efficiency.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work flexible hours during month-end and year-end.
- Valid G driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the automotive industry.
