As a Nurse Practitioner, you will work autonomously within the Mental Health & Addiction Care department, providing expert clinical care to patients of all ages. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing conditions, prescribing treatment, and collaborating closely with a diverse healthcare team. In addition to patient care, you will contribute to research and education efforts, promoting evidence-based practices in the field. Key Responsibilities:
- Autonomously diagnose and manage patient care plans
- Provide education and mentorship for team professionals
- Lead the implementation of clinical guidelines
- Engage in research to enhance public health
- Advocate for treatment and health policy changes
- Current registration as RN in Extended Class in Ontario
- Master’s degree in Nursing or relevant specialty
- 3+ years nursing experience in mental health
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Knowledgeable in the Ontario Mental Health Act
