Senior HVAC Engineer for Mining Projects (Greater Sudbury)

Join WSP in Northern Ontario as a Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer, where you will lead the design of productive and sustainable systems for the mining and metals sectors. Your technical leadership will be vital to project success.
This role demands a deep understanding of HVAC systems and over 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering within relevant industries. You will manage the design process from initial concepts through to detailed implementation while mentoring less experienced engineers. Actively collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you'll ensure designs meet operational and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct HVAC engineering from concept through detailed design
- Collaborate with teams on integration of systems
- Ensure technical excellence in reviews of designs and documents
- Mentor intermediate and junior engineering staff
- Address complex challenges with clients and contractors
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 15 years in mechanical engineering, preferably mining
- P.Eng. eligible in Canada
- Proven problem-solving abilities in engineering scenarios
- Familiarity with dust collection and ducting systems
