• Wage: $22.00 per hour
• Gratuities: The role has a direct opportunity to earn extra income in a gratuity pool by generating banquet and event business – monthly earnings vary based on volume and revenue.

The opportunity

Northern Vision Development (NVD), the largest hospitality company in the Yukon, is seeking a highly organized and service-oriented Catering Sales Coordinator to support the continued growth of our growing banquets and events portfolio.

This role sits at the centre of the sales and event process. You’ll help turn inquiries and opportunities into well-organized bookings by keeping client details, event requirements, sales information, and internal coordination moving from the initial inquiry through to the event. You’ll work closely with the commercial team, banquet operations, and food and beverage teams to make sure everyone has the information they need to deliver a smooth experience.

• The sales team operates efficiently because administrative coordination, scheduling, and internal organization are managed reliably.
• Sales opportunities move forward efficiently because inquiries, booking details, and internal documentation are organized and accurate.
• Bookings run smoothly from inquiry through arrival because communication between clients, sales, and operations is clear and timely.
• Sales systems remain accurate and reliable, ensuring leads, bookings, and account activity are properly tracked and visible to the commercial team.
• Clients receive responsive, professional support throughout the booking process, strengthening relationships and resulting in repeat business.
• Catering and events are well prepared because contracts, billing coordination, and client needs are organized and communicated across teams.

What you bring to the role

• Experience in hospitality, events, sales coordination, customer service, or administrative support. Hotel or banquet experience is an asset.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning CRM or hotel sales systems.
• A collaborative, service-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively across sales, banquet, food and beverage, and other teams.
• Professional and responsive when communicating with clients and internal teams.
