Seated Yoga and Stretching Instructor Wanted
Seniors Centre Without Walls is looking for a qualified instructor to facilitate a short seated yoga and stretching class for senior citizens by distance. The instructor can lead the class from their own home. Each class will be approximately 30 minutes and will include about 20 minutes of gentle seated stretching or seated yoga, followed by approximately 10 minutes of relaxation, breathing, or guided meditation. We are hoping to offer the class once a week for approximately 8 weeks, beginning in October or November 2026, although the start date is flexible. Our preferred time is 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM, but we are flexible regarding both the day and time. We would prefer to keep the class on the same day each week once the schedule is established. Payment is contract work $45 per 30 minute class. Applicants should have appropriate training or certification related to yoga, senior fitness, group exercise, or a similar field. Experience working with older adults is preferred. We are particularly interested in instructors who understand how to provide safe, gentle seated exercises for seniors with different mobility levels.The schedule, start date, and format are all open to discussion.
