Senior Account Executive for Municipal Utilities

Become a pivotal force at Advanced Utility Systems as a Senior Account Executive targeting municipal utility solutions. Advanced Utility Systems seeks an experienced account executive focused on opening new business opportunities. This position is crucial for engaging public sector buyers and influencing purchasing decisions ahead of formal RFPs. As an individual contributor, you will shape sales strategies, nurture key relationships, and contribute to the growth of our sales team in the coming years. Key Responsibilities:
- Secure new accounts within North American municipal utilities
- Develop strategic target account plans identifying buying windows
- Build relationships with decision-makers at utilities
- Drive effective needs assessments and solution presentations
- Own and lead RFP processes, from initiation to submission
- Minimum five years in software sales, focusing on municipal utilities
- Proven track record in new business acquisition
- Experience with public sector procurement and RFP processes
- Strong networking abilities with utility industry stakeholders
- Proficient in MEDDPICC or similar sales frameworks
