AECOM is hiring a Municipal Roads Civil Engineer to join our Transportation team in Ottawa, ON.
This is a great opportunity to work on impactful municipal infrastructure projects and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Design and deliver municipal road infrastructure projects
- Prepare engineering reports, calculations, drawings, and specs
- Ensure compliance with municipal/provincial design standards
- Provide mentorship to junior staff
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Deliver projects on time, on budget, and to client expectations
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- 2+ years of municipal roadway/highways/linear municipal servicing design experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ideally 4+ years of municipal roadway/highways/linear municipal servicing design experience
- EIT in Ontario
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation/Bentley, InRoads/OpenRoads
- Knowledge of OPS, TAC, and municipal guidelines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience in urban/rural road design, intersections, and active transportation
- Able to work independently and in teams
- French language skills are considered an asset
- Experience working for other Ontario municipalities will be considered an asset.
