Overview: We are seeking a candidate with more than just Accounts Payable experience. The Senior Accounts Payable Analyst at Mitel is analytical in nature with a focus on problem solving, process improvements, account and vendor reconciliations, as well as, project planning and integration. This role requires strong communications, analytical and problem solving skills, and initiative to work on new projects with minimal supervision. There will be opportunities to learn new things and gain exposure to different aspects of the operations of the company and will give the right candidate the ability to grow into a supervisory or manager role. The ideal candidate has General Accounting and Travel & Entertainment Expense processing experience. This is a hybrid role based in our Kanata office 2 days a week. Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assist with Accounts Payable processing and Problem Queues
• Monitor and assist with Concur Travel and Entertainment Expense Processing and audit reporting
• Coordinate and assist with all company integration projects & M&A activities
• overall vendor management, vendor analysis and onboarding, risk assessment, credit application completion
• various vendor related projects including 1099 tax reporting
• Assist with Cash forecasting and backup for payment processing
• Monitor Blocked Invoices and aged AP balances
• Complete GRIR monthly account reconciliations and clear aged items
• Complete AP Blackline tasks and close activities
• Daily Upload of Approval Hierarchy in Concur
• Ad hoc audit & tax requests, process control reviews and annual Vendor confirms
• Process Reviews and Documentation, Policy & Control Updates
• Employee Onboarding & Training
• Approval Delegate for AP manager

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience (Accounts Payable, Travel & Entertainment, General Accounting)
• SAP knowledge
• AP purchase to pay process and Sox control knowledge an asset
• Strong Analytical and Problem solving Skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills - ability to obtain information from non-finance people when required
• Very strong Excel skills
