Here's how a Accounts Payable Clerk for PCL Constructors Canada Inc. within Ottawa contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

• Reviews, retrieves, and verifies vendor invoices received through a shared accounts payable inbox and vendor portal.
• Accurately enters approved invoices into the accounting system in a timely manner
• Updates purchase orders with accurate cost codes.
• Identifies and prioritizes approved, overdue invoices to maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
• Accurately distributes invoices to appropriate project efficiently. 
• Independently investigates and resolves invoice and payment discrepancies.
• Prepares new vendor verification documentation.
• Responds to inquiries from vendors and internal staff via email, phone, in-person or MS Teams.
• Verifies vendor accounts reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Assists with year-end reporting 
• Other duties as required. 

Qualifications

• High school diploma. 
• Associates or bachelor’s degree, diploma or certificate in an accounting or administrative program considered an asset. 
• 1 year of experience in an accounts payable role or equivalent technical experience. 
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. 
• Ability to multitask and adapt to change. 
• Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information. 
• Ability to effectively handle difficult situations and remain calm under pressure. 
• Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships. 
• Ability to create, edit, proofread, and format documents/presentations. 
• Basic skills in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe, and OneNote.

The estimated salary range for this role is $56,270-$72,820 , based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
