Job Responsibility:
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Accounting Department Manager to oversee our accounting team and ensure the smooth operation of our financial activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. As the Accounting Department Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting department, including financial reporting, budget management, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and tax compliance. Your goal will be to contribute to the overall financial health and stability of the organization by providing accurate financial information and implementing effective financial controls.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting:
o Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. o Ensure financial statements are accurate and in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
o Present financial reports to senior management.
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
o Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
o Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.
3. Payroll:
o Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
o Address any payroll-related issues or discrepancies.
4. Tax Compliance:
o Manage tax planning and compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
o Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits.
5. Financial Controls:
o Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
o Identify and address areas of financial risk.
6. Team Leadership:
o Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
o Foster a positive work environment and promote professional development.
7. Process Improvement:
o Streamline accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. o Recommend and implement software solutions to enhance financial reporting and analysis.
Qualifications:
- Perfect candidate will have working with a midsized trade company in the past. (10M-15M in sales) and understand the flow.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, with 3+ years in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. ? Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
