Work Model: Hybrid – 3 Days per Week in Office

Role Description

The Project Manager will lead and oversee cloud migration initiatives, ensuring successful planning, execution, governance, and delivery aligned with business objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Strategy

• Define migration strategy and roadmap (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, Rebuild).
  
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones.
  
• Identify scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with business goals.
  
• Plan phased migration waves, including application grouping and dependency mapping.
  
• Conduct feasibility assessments and readiness analysis.
  

2. Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders including business, IT, and vendors.
  
• Facilitate alignment between business and technical teams.
  
• Conduct steering committee meetings and status reporting.
  
• Communicate risks, progress, and decisions clearly.
  
• Manage expectations across senior leadership and delivery teams.
  

3. Governance & Delivery Management

• Establish governance frameworks and project cadence (daily/weekly reviews).
  
• Track progress against timelines, budget, and scope.
  
• Ensure adherence to organizational standards and compliance requirements.
  
• Manage change requests and scope creep.
  
• Maintain RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).
  

4. Migration Execution Oversight

Coordinate execution of:

• Application and infrastructure migration.
  
• Data migration and validation.
  
• Environment setup (Development, UAT, Production).
  

Additional responsibilities:

• Oversee cutover planning and execution.
  
• Ensure minimal downtime and business disruption.
  
• Coordinate go-live and hypercare support.
  

5. Risk & Issue Management

• Identify and mitigate technical risks including compatibility, performance, and dependencies.
  
• Identify and mitigate operational risks including downtime, data loss, and security gaps.
  
• Drive issue resolution and escalation management.
  
• Define and activate contingency and rollback plans.
  

6. Resource & Vendor Management

Manage:

• Cross-functional teams including cloud, infrastructure, application, network, and security teams.
  
• Onshore and offshore delivery models.
  
• Third-party vendors and cloud providers.
  

Additional responsibilities:

• Ensure resource allocation aligns with migration waves.
  

7. Budget & Cost Management

• Track migration budget and cost estimates.
  
• Monitor cloud consumption and migration costs.
  
• Ensure cost optimization during migration and post-migration.
  
• Provide financial forecasting and reporting.
  

8. Quality Assurance & Testing Coordination

Ensure execution of:

• Functional Testing.
  
• Performance Testing.
  
• Security Validation.
  

Additional responsibilities:

• Coordinate UAT and sign-offs.
  
• Validate data integrity and system stability post-migration.

Reporting:

• Weekly status reports.
  
• Executive dashboards.
  
• Migration progress tracking (wave-wise).

• Advanced Python programming skills.
  
• Experience with Terraform and FLUX for infrastructure management.
