IT Administrator

Job Responsibility:

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Administrator to join our growing team. This position is critical in maintaining the performance, security, and availability of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft server environments, firewall and VPN technologies, Hyper-V replication, SQL Server, and enterprise backup systems such as Veeam.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain Microsoft Active Directory , including user provisioning, group policy management, and domain services.

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot SonicWall firewalls , including secure VPN connectivity.
• Manage and support Microsoft Server environments (2016/2019+), including regular updates, patches, and performance tuning.
• Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server , with attention to performance monitoring and backup/recovery strategies.
• Implement and maintain Hyper-V replication for business continuity and high availability.
• Administer and monitor Veeam Backup & Replication for virtual and physical server backups and restores.
• Manage datacenter infrastructure , ensuring uptime, redundancy, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Maintain endpoint security using antivirus and endpoint protection systems.
• Perform routine system audits, generate health reports, and maintain documentation of the environment.
• Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure optimal performance.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal staff when needed.

Qualifications: ·

• Proven experience as an IT Administrator, Systems Administrator, or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory , Group Policy , and domain services.
• Experience with SonicWall firewalls and VPN configuration.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Server administration (2016, 2019, or later).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server , including installation, maintenance, and backup strategies.
• Experience with Hyper-V virtualization, including replication setup and management .
• Proficient in Veeam Backup & Replication in virtualized environments.
• Familiarity with datacenter operations , including server hardware and networking.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, and general troubleshooting.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic IT environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (a plus):

• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ , Security+ , Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate , or similar.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
